Some cool configurations. I like the 4 door pickup and the Brute-like Defender.

I've got a "slightly" modified Defender 110 pickup. It rocks, literally and figuratively. Also has a LR 300 Tdi oil burner, mog axles, crawler box - near 250:1 crawl ratio and 42" Iroks.

Here are a few picts - its the truck looking thing with maroon/purple paint.

The white D90 owned by a friend of mine is very very nice. That thing has done all the extreme trails in Las Cruces, and the hardest stuff Moab has to offer (outside of BFE - which isn't sayin much). It generally creepy crawls over everthing.

I like and own both marques Jeep and Land Rover (and Toy for that matter).

Land Rover D110 Monster Rockcrawler - Mogs, 300tdi, crawler, 42's

'06 Jeep Liberty CRD

Saw several LR's last year while in Ireland & the UK that are actually used and abused. The only place I saw mall crawler versions was in London. Outside of there, they were the work trucks, farm vehicles.

As far as LR's here in the US, I think Ford has screwed up the marketing/pricing for them and have only aimed at the high end SUV buyer which will almost never take it off road. The freelander was a nice little SUV and affordable, but they dropped that, now have the LR2, which costs about $12K more than the freelander did. They just cost too much here now to actually run the risk of damaging them.
