Wharton Run Feb 23rd ***IMPORTANT UPDATE***

OK so those of you who are subscribed to the other Wharton thread know that I was recently informed that we may be hassled due to ppl on other forums calling the rangers on us. Our group is too large, I called the Ranger Station myself and they said ten or less.... So because I know some of u took off work I tried to get those ppl to come on the 23rd because it's not fair that they miss work and the run. As of now this is the list for the 23rd ONLY.
IM REALLY SORRY BUT ONLY TEN (10) JEEPS PER DATE
FEBRUARY 23RD:
1. Boots
2. Metaldemon
3. usmcjk
4. NY1982JK (WAL)
5. Rich21 + 2 jeeps
6. "
7."
8. Dan5677 + 1 jeep

10. JKmadness
(please pm me if u took off work for this day and ur name isn't up there)
Everyone else please choose one of the other two dates below & add ur name to the date u wanna go AND if any friend are coming block out their slots (both are Saturdays)

Once again I'm sorry this happened but I don't want anyone getting tickets, and after speaking with the Batsto Ranger Station myself I was told groups of around 10 we will be just fine!

Not to start any problems here for you guys, but you guys laid down FAR to easily. There are no laws on "groups." Take the 23rd for instance. Its full right? What are they gonna do if I come down there? I might not know anyone of you. Maybe I don't even like any of you. So because Im in a Jeep means we are a group? Where does it say in writing that they don't allow more than 10 vehicles in the park? The park is open to anyone with a road legal vehicle. Id show up there with a group of 30 cars and tell the rangers to give you all the tickets they like. I'd mop the floor with them in court. Laws are not a matter of opinion, regardless of what those power trippy rangers think. They have absolutely no right telling any of you that you can be no larger than a group of 10. I would roll up there as a group of 30 individuals and thats it. No need to be a "group."

This is what I thought too.... It's in the parks dept safety regulations... Park rangers and fish and game officers rule back there.... And yeah I know we can goto court and get tickets dropped but I for one don't wanna go to court, some ppl are driving long distances to get here.... Just to have toncome back for court.... No thanks.... And I personally called to ask... U need permits to have anymore in a group.... I asked what if ppl bring extra ppl or some ppl just join up with us? That's not a big deal really unless someone calls us in to them, I personally get fined for leading the group, then we all get tickets too

Lol. I was thinking the same thing..!! This is a big area. We could go with our "own group" of 10 but there could be another "group" in front or behind us & who's to say that we're all together or not together..??!! I could understand the whole "group" of 10 thing, but we're not gonna be the only ones up there..!! It's different if we were reserving the park & they said no more than 10. I understand your point of not wanting trouble. Just my 2 cents..!
