What did you break in Moab
In an effort to find weak points, I thought it would be good to start a thread to list parts broken while wheeling at Moab.
Luckily, I did not break anything on the trail but my JBA headers struck again. They melted a spark plug wire a few days before the trip and melted the heater hose bracket on the way home. The broken bracket allowed the heater hose to touch the header where it proceeded to melt. I cut the hose and used a socket and a couple of hose clamps to bridge the gap and get me home.
Hope some of you find this thread useful.

I think I lost some gas tank volume with the big dent I put in my skid plate that covers the tank. Also put a dent dent in my transmission cross member. But my EVO skids on my front control arms worked great and also my DIY oil pan skid work very well too. I did have my fender come off the rear clips on the passenger side. I did not really break anything and I did some difficult and moderate trails with a stock size tire and a 3" lift. What I found out is I really need 35" tires and that would help a lot. O and I forgot I popped my rear bumper back too and I really don't know when I did that one! But its a Jeep thing and we had a great time!!!
I was wheeling with a JK from Texas that broke his steering stabilizer and a rear shock. I've added skid plates and was just wondering what needs beefed up next.
Happy to see several impacts to the skids installed. I can now justify their purchase to my wife!

I didn't break anything, but my Jeep pulls a just a bit to the left now. I'll be digging in to figure this out, but it isn't too bad, no uneven wear on the tires after about 400 miles. Also, I DIDN'T damage my new LoD rear bumper, although I dropped onto it very hard. From the amount of pulverized stone left behind, I'd say score: 1 LoD Rear Bumper, 0 Moab Rocks!
I didn't really "break" anything, but I've got some cool battle scars on my wheels, sliders, and the B pillar on the passenger side.
For some reason the right rear corner is sagging about 3/4 of an inch now. I think I may have "adjusted" the spring on that corner!

I only had a damaged rear drive shaft and a rear locker that would not disengage, so I was driving around town for almost the whole week chirping my rear tires in every turn. Didn't you guys heard me???
Some blew their rear shaft and some blew their rear ended... I will let them tell the stories

Anyway, it cost me $10 for a new link (actually $20 because I bought one for the other side too) and $23 for a new steering stabilizer. I got out of there for cheap!
On the last day (Friday) I blew my Ring and Pinion gear at the same place WOL blew out his drive line last year. And while we were there doing a field repair and there Jeep from another group came up and blew a drive line. It's a mean spot.
Toad and WOL's have pics of the event.
We were trying to climb a large shelf that tucked under. My 37" tire got caught on the passenger side and blew the ring gear by chopping off 6 teeth.
It took 4 hrs to pull the ring gear on the trail. we had to because it would lock up and the axle wouldn't turn.
It was a great trail fix by WOL and David (MBATE) and everyone who worked on it.
It was a good lesson on how to pull the ring gear and axles on the trail too.
On the way out because I had no ring gear to move the gear oil around in the diff and axles, I fried a axle. There was no other option to get out, so I had to do it.
Now I thinking of repairing the axle and selling it and buying a Dana 60.
The JK was repaired overnight and ready to go on Sat in the morning.
What great service!
