$19 Reverse Light Solution!
I did the same on my XJ, using some cheap useless riceburner fog lights from advanced. I used only one but wired it to come on with the reverse lights, but also through a switch so I could turn it on separately. It uses a relay and a pair of diodes
Went to purchase rock lights from Walmart yesterday and noticed a few other lights they had in stock. I read the Platinum Burner lights were very bright and were super cheap so I decided to buy a set of 2"x4" along with my two sets of smaller rock lights. It came to $60, not too bad! Comes with all the necessary wiring, switches, and fuses.
Here is the box for the 2"x4":
Attachment 273272
After re-sealing all seams with silicone, I pre-drilled a few holes and then installed the brackets with sheet metal screws (the ones supplied are not strong enough to tap into the chassis)
Attachment 273273
Lights installed:
Attachment 273274
Attachment 273275
They're not wired yet, I will post when they are along with a review on how I like them.
And here are the rock lights to be installed sooooon! I covered all seams with silicone.
