Another dash upgrade $1.67
Thanks]
I figured it would not be a big loss if I screwed it up since my loss would be only a dollar or two. So i stopped by Lowe's and grabbed a 6 foot 1/2'' pipe insulation.
I cut it for the length of the dash and started sticking in to the gap. Seriously it only took about 10 minutes for everything. Now I don't have to worry about losing things anymore. My fear was that my friend would just toss his/her key and have to deal with taking the dash and all the pain.
Pics may be hard to see as I took them at night.
This was another easy cool mod! Thanks for the idea.

Hey! not bad at all. My first loss was the little plastic square right above the instrument cluster...was looking for a spot to mount a gauge and thought 'hmmmm, wonder if there's a screw right under there?' NOPE, up she popped and down into the abyss she went........
So now when people ask: I just tell 'em a have a HOLY dash....get it?

That's true. I can't imagine what could go in that gap. The scarely thing is I didn't know about it unitl I read this thread.
That gap has always puzzled me. What the hell were the engineers thinking? I don't want to fill it just yet. First I have to feel around and find whatever wire bundle or cable is rattling under there.
