Just to be clear, man... I am switching the power on the camera itself, not the auto switcher. The auto switcher works by detecting the incoming signal, when you power down the camera, it does not send out a signal... therefore it moves on to the next lowest priority... my DVD input is the lowest priority, that way when I want to view a camera, I power it up and it rolls to whichever camera input I power up, because that camera is at a higher priority than the DVD input.

Well.. I would love to put on a cargo rack (I have the basket part - Kargo Master) and of course a lift with 35" tires, bumper, winch, etc etc... but I am having to ratchet back the funds for the Jeep because we are starting the process of adoption and I may be moving back to Alabama this year... all this with Company Lay-Offs looming overhead. I should know by the end of March on the job situation. Anyway I hope to have all the fog lifted before too long.

I have my camera set up to a switch as well, and when its not on my switcher also defaults down to my dvd. But the problem i get is, when it switches from the camera to the dvd the Garmin 7200 does not recognize the change. even when the garmin is set to either "auto switch" or "to promt" changing to the input. my only solution i can think of is to add a switch to power on/off the autoswitcher. then the garmin recognizes the new input. it just sucks because its 2 switches to do one thing.

That is interesting... I have no problem whatsoever. I have it set to auto and it will go back and forth between all my inputs; bothe cameras and DVD. Send me a PM, I will give you my phone number and I can maybe help you step through it to troubleshoot.

How's your camera in low light and night? It looks like it's got a ring of LED's. Is it self lighting?

That is awesome. Now the wheels in head are turning. I could do undercarriage flex shots to see what my suspension is really doing.

Default Back up CAM

I just spoke with a guy with a JK rubicon, he had a camara mounted in his spare using the factory GPS as a back up cam, said the harness was from a company called LocPick.com thus far I have not see the correct site. But I did see the end result, looks good, simple etc. Extra inputs from a non factory wiring harness that unlocks the factory GPS sounds good. Anyone try this method?
