I did this to the underside of my entire top. They sell bed liner in rattle cans at autozone. It is a great change and cheap as well!

Looks great!! Does it help at all with insulation or sound? Does it get hotter in the jeep if it bakes in the sun all say? Either way it looks much better, congrats!!!

I don't notice any increased heat on the inside after baking in the sun. I think the plastic hard top does enough all ready to bake the inside...Although, as stated above, until the bed liner fully cures and the smell dissipates, it will smell bad when you get it in after sitting in the sun.

I picked up a couple rattle cans of the Rustoleum Bed Liner from Walmart for a couple bucks each. Not much prep time required, take your time with a few light coats and you will have yourself a superb looking product that should have came that way from the factory!!

i did this last summer to my wife's JK. didn't take to long and i also used the duplicolor-bed liner from advanced auto. now she's planning on putting GLOW in the dark stars in the back for when the kids are in there at night .i'll be doing this to my 2-door X in the near future(minus the stars)

Question How many cans?

Hey Guys- I'm a new JK owner (first wrangler). I'd like to do this to my jeep when it arrives (currently being built)- How many rattle cans does it take?

Someone mentioned 2- I've seen others say more...

Default Krylon

Looks good... I debated between bed-liner and Krylon fusions on my hardtop interior and ultimately went with the Krylon fusion's matte black... I'm glad I did! Looks like it came from the factory black and dried in NO TIME... Only took 1.5 cans and that's on a four door hardtop

Do you find the liner rubs off where the freedom top handles rotate? Or is it pretty durable?

Did the same thing to the hard top on my 2010 rubi build .... it's cheap, held up well and looked great.. My new project is a white 2014 rubicon x ...so the white top looks good inside .
