*L* i put silver ant-sieze on mine, it made pretty pink rust. WTF???

~must be the girly Sahara thing.

That came out awsome i was thinkin about doing this on my 07 rubi but i didnt want to pay alot for it. my 08 doesnt have any chips yet but i would really like to prevent it. what products did you use?

FYI, they do NOT use glue on those hinges. What you saw was corrosion of the plating. The hinges are bolted on, and the doors are hung on the Body before going to ecoat and paint.

Cost me $10 for a can of Spray on Bedliner. Duplicolour brand.

...oh and $22 CAN for a FRIGGING bolt I lost lol

I dont know about thatm an, it was a beige colour and looked like a dry glue...but I could be wrong.

It is a Sahara thing....lol I use copper anti sieze no probs. Might want to try painting the hinge pins with rust paint while you have them off to bedline them

This is going on my to do list.....I have a couple chips on mine, and am sure they will rust soon enough....great job

I am also going to do my front "Warn" bumper....it has such a cheap paint job on it.....the linex will finish it off....

Well they wont rust...they are aluminum....I just didnt like the rock chip look on them.....

Interesting. I have been to the KTPO plant in Toledo and watched them build these while I was installing some of our equipment. Maybe it is something new they are doing then...
