yea i could care less about the arm rest. its the storage that i miss.

i'm in Texas and the vinyl isn't that bad, i can only imagine that it is similar to the neoprene seat covers. which is what i'd be putting on if i had cloth.

and yes the cup holders are "behind" you. i have the seat all the way back and i still have to reach back to get to them.

The mini-console sucks. Good luck on finding the larger ones for sale, rare...


I opted for the Tuffy, it wasn't cheap, but well worth it.

I have the same console. This is the base X Jeep. It is really not very user friendly and there is no arm rest. If I could afford the Tuffy console, I would get that one. Very nice work though dude.

That's the first time I've seen that console and the first time I saw the vinyl seats.

i had the same console in my 2008 6 speed its the base model x witch i needed because i wanted manual and vinyl seats!!!!!!i ordered all the parts for the full console from the dealer all the parts are seperate but you dont need the clip,or any shifter boots or anything like that,it cost under $300 cheap fix if ya ask me for the full console!!!!pm me with any questions i can even dig out part#s if ya need em
