Didnt read all these but I just put zip ties on the shaft of mine and they r silent now...

Just bought my ballcock washers lol! I made it a point to ask the guy at Lowes for them even though I knew where they were. He was like "What?!?" I had to show him after pretending to look for them. They work great! Paid $6 for four of them .

My local 4x4 shop had rubber rings that looked identical, I guess someone is packaging them for off roaders now

Forget the price I paid for four of them but they were cheap

I know you guys are having fun with the wording but these work perfect, no "shaving" and putting your "D" ring back on is effortless

I've always had good results using 3/4" heater hose. Just slice some thin sections to the desired thickness and install. Works fine and lasts a long time, you just don't get to go to the local HW store and ask for those ballcock thingys.

Yup heat shrink tubing also works well and shrinks to a nice fit
