-I really like all of these great ideas and wished I would have seen them sooner, however, this was my solution:

-Pipe Insulation: $2.00

-Not sure how long it will last but I have plenty left over.

Walked into my local Home Depot, picked up a pair of 3" PVC end caps for my fog light modification and proceeded deeper into plumbing where the kind senior woman asked me if I needed any assistance..

Instead of asking for a Ballcock Shank Washer, I simply asked for a "Shank Washer". She smiled coyly and said, "Youre sweet, youre trying to be polite.. but a Ballcock Shank Washer is a Ballcock Shank Spacer...". I then joked that perhaps somebody should do a price check on a pair of Ballcock Shank Spacers and we both chuckled whoeheartedly.

Thanks for making my day. oh, and they work great btw!

Well, I guess we need to type Ballcock Shank Washer more so that we move it up to #1 in the list.
