so question, can you run two air compressors at the same time, ie one for the front tires and one for the back tires. I wired a power port to the back of my bax and was wondering if the alt or battery would die by doing this???

you should be able to viair's X-treme system comes with 2 compressors and a 2 gal tank. however now that i think about it, that might be so when one is at a cooldown point the other can be running. i think the rule is somethin like 15 min. on 15 min off.

if you can run two im sure we will find out from someone soon

ALG : this is a couple months old

long live a good idea though

you could run two but it would put a considerably higher amount of draw on the electrical system

you put in a fast idle switch to up rpms on demand to help out
a second battery or a capacitor would be good

but at that point you should be thinking about a different system entirely

THIS is an excellent setup though

it would be nice to work out a fitting setup that did not require a hose clamp though

Excellent work

Thanks! I wasn't concerned about using a hose clamp with this set-up as I'm only using it to a max of about 35 psi. If I install a tank I'll replace the cut section of hose with a prefab 2' section with factory installed NPT connectors on the ends.

I have not been able to find a compressor like this in any of the stores around me. I have found one at Cosco similar in size but it use a 120v plug. Could I hard wire this to my battery with some thick guage wire? I need somethiong better than a 12v hookup but dont have the cash right now for an expensive setup...any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

No, don't do that.

You can get them at Pep Boys if you have one of those near you.

Master Flow MF-1050 Tsunami Air Compressor.

I found the same compressor at my local Sams Club for $51.12, I'm going to go pick one up today after I get my AEV Bridgers put on. This will be a good project for the weekend.
