I did the budget mirror mod. I later painted them with bedliner paint.

I ordered a couple of the rugged ridge relocation mirrors a while back. I wasn't happy since they were only designed for one side of the jeep so you would have one up and one pointing down. I chopped the adjustment ends and laid them on my bench to get a better alignment then I redrilled the holes. Sprayed them flat black and I'm now very happy.
Someone had some questions so I thought I would post the picks I had.

I ordered the same mirrors and put one on each side. I didn't have any issues that I noticed.

Me too. Inexpensive, easy and they work great.

I also added some adjustable sticky spot mirrors to the dash for my blind spots. I got them from harbor freight but didn't realize they were so tall due to the adjustable part.
I recommend some sort of spot mirrors for those sneaky dirt bikes that come out of nowhere. Had one scare me pretty good on the trail. In the desert they come from all over.

I did this but I bent mine a bit more and put it on the screws that go on the windshield
