I'd want to intercept the purple with light blu wire under the dash on the driver side but I found two purple with light blu wires: one goes alone (right one in the picture) and another one is twisted with a white and light blu wire. Which is the right one to cut ?

To be sure remove the two tourque bolts on the center consul at the rear seat and lift up, you will see the two purple wires you need to cut the one with the stripe. If you have a voltmeter connect it to the wire under the consul and make a little slice on the wire that you found under the dash and tone it out, if it is the same thats your wire!

Cut the "alone" one, not the one in the twisted pair. (You assume all risk in this)

I have a '12 and did this mod 2 days after the OP's write up. I absolutely love it. The increased mileage is awesome. I have to admit I miss using the cruise control. Has anyone figured out a work around yet?

Hello from Turkey, everyone.

I’m new to the group and happy to be a part of such a big community

So, I recently installed an ESP kill switch following the instructions here, and everything seems to be fine except for cruise control.

When I turn the kill switch on, ABS and ESP are disabled (I can see the warning lights on the dashboard). I am aware that cruise control is disabled either, although no warning lights are displayed.

After I turn the kill switch off (so the circuit is complete), stop the car and start it again, the warning lights for ABS and ESP are off, and both functions seem to be working as expected. However, the cruise control is not working anymore, and I get the error codes P0581-00 and P0593-00 from Jscan.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong, and how I can resolve this?

Thank you very much!

Looks like an open ground wire connection (V937) from the speed control switch -- Deduced from an open connection on ground wire circuit V937 being the common cause for both DTC's.

Default Thanks Mr.T!

Thanks for your help, Mr.T! I really appreciate your reply but that’s too technical for me, I am afraid :( So, which part am I supposed to exactly check please?

Hey everyone,
Today my airbag light also turned on, and apparently it was the clockspring gone bad. Everything’s good now.
Thank you!
