Front Speaker Install Write-Up
#51
Much better than the stockers (Infinity's) that are Made in Mexico the Kickers are better quality, have built in tweeters, also plastic cone with rubber foam surround that supports the cone and really bump up the tone and bass...the cone on the Infinity Stockers is paper basically and the stock Infinity's sound "tinny"...after installation of the Kickers you'll have to turn the Bass down...

Wish I saw this thread 3 days ago. The instructions that came with my kickers left out a couple of necessary steps and had me scratching my head for a little bit. Good write up.

Used instructions for the BA speaker mod. Thanks. Only advice, as it is as you state (a major PITA removing even after removingsaid bolts): Grab front speaker from top and "flip" or roll it out, top out first with bottom following.
Thanks, again, for great guide.

Thanks for the info on the front speaker install. I will be attempting to replace my front speakers this weekend. I have a set of Alpine component spoeakers for the front of my JK. The Polks I installed in the sound bar two weeks ago sound amazing. I also put some polyfil in the sound bar as suggested in this forum. I can't wait to hear the improvement over the stock speakers.
Has anyone added an amp under the dashboard here?

Look at the Rockford Fosgate thread I started for a pic of a guys 2 amp Rockford setup in the stock amp location. The Rockford PBR amps are as big as an old-school paperback book. The work great, too.
