Pull both pins (15 seconds at most), slide off top, then slide off bottom (20 seconds) put pins & links in rear tub (30 seconds), grab your handily stored nylon rope or bungee from rear tub and tie sway bars in place (45-60seconds).

You can do it in under 3 minutes easily.

I have a 08 Sahara with a Nth degree 3.5" lift I got from Dave at Northridge. I am slowly doing the "why didnt I buy a rubi" upgrades. Are these still the recommended Quick disconnects??

Does JKS make these for the rear sway bar as well?

Nope. Most everyone recommends leaving your rear bar connected.

there is no need to disconnect your rear sway bar as it would give you no additional benefits. unlike the front sway bar which is really thick and limits travel, the rear bar is very thin and can even be manipulated by hand. i can assure you that you CAN achieve maximum flex with them connected and the added benefit of keeping them on is that they offer stability. this is the reason why companies like currie make their anti-rock front sway bar - so you can get big flex and retain stability.

Resurrecting an old, but great thread. thanks for the detailed write-up!

Did you remove your tires to do this or is it unnecessary? Seems like you can do this without jacking up the JK, correct?

How about a picture of Exactly what you do with the nylon rope or the bungee to the sway bar.
Thanks

No need to remove your tires, or jack it up. I turned my wheels out when working on that side and just crawled under and did it.
Thanks

Anyone and Everyone
I would like to see what you do with the Sway Bar when disconnected.

Thanks
