The lights on the front fenders are only running lights when stock. But after this mod they work as turn signals and running lights

Well tried this mod earlier today and was pretty sure I did it right but all I managed to do was make the horn go off continuously and make the wipers go crazy, haha. I put the black wire back to the way it was and that fixed my horn and wiper problem, but now the horn doesnt work at all, but I'm honestly not sure if the horn was already broken before I cut the wires, because on the few occasions that I used it, it was really hard to get it to work. Any Idea what I did wrong? When I started the mod it seemed simple enough, and im positive I only cut the black wire going to the side marker light, so I'm not sure how that one cut could have caused my problems... Any help from you guys would be awesome cause I really want to get this mod done. Hopefully someone can shed some light on what I did wrong!

I had a problem w my horn (2010 rubicon model) before I did this mod.....horn would just blare by itself for minutes. Happened the day after my jeep got poured on w the roof off......just went away by itself. Dunno if jeep just has a crappy writing to the horn or what

Ive since made this mod. Ive had no problems and I just wrapped the wires in electrical tape. Been thru a wet/salty nebraska winter like that

Someone posted a few pages back (quite a few probably) (I just read this whole Thread...whew) This mod worked with Bushwacker Flat Fender Flares.

Another post said it wouldn't work.

I just installed my new Bushwacker flares. I'm going to try this mod and find out.
I'll post my results for y'all.

Cool and functional results. Cut the black from the marker light and used a splicing block (weatherproof, from Advance Auto, about 4 bucks for 6) to connect to the outermost white wire on both turn signal light wire bundles.

This thread does a good job of describing what to do, but I found myself wanting more pics. So here are mine. I wish I'd added some wire to give me more slack around the fender bracing under earn and when pulling the turn signals from the grille.

Easy, quick, works. Thumbs up!

Thanks for posting the pics, its exactly what I needed. My only question is what did you do with the other half of the black wire you cut?

Well I finally got around to this one. I suppose I was just tired of people not realizing i was turning because my side markers weren't blinking with the rest of the directionals.

@Sapper: you don't do anything with the remaining black (ground) wire on the connection end. Just tape it up or tuck it back in to the loom, whatevs, it's inconsequentional at this point.
