I thought about that...

I didn't want to risk loosing $14

PA mirror law says that they have to be outside of the Jeep. I know that with the top and doors off everything is "outside" but you know what I mean and i'm sure the cops wouldn't think that was funny ... lol.

Cipa has a mirror with a larger head Part #44009, but I do not know how it mounts. Pics just show the head, anyone seen one of these? I contacted the factory to get mounting instructions/pics of the mounting bracket, but no luck

Has anyone thought of using the side air-vents for placing a convex mirror? If the vents are closed you could have the mirror, and still see out the sides, since they're curved. When the doors are installed and you want air-conditioning/heating, you still can open/turn the air-vents.

Does this make sense?

I think it would be kind of cool.

Wow, unbelievable, those exact mirrors from Autozone are what I almost bought for my Rubi this last Sunday. I liked them for the boot they had and was going to install them in the exact same spot. But my wife thought they looked like car mirrors with this big Jeep and tiny mirrors, so I went with what I posted in the other doors off mirror thread.

Finally did it. Here they are. And when I have the doors on, I can turn the vents freely to hide the mirror if I want.
