Old Man Emu 2" Lift Installation Write-Up
How the heck can people tout this lift as the best lift when you really need more parts to get it "right". Where are the new swaybar links to make the sway bar horizontal? etc. This is not a complete lift.
I'd want new swaybar links, do they assume you are going to buy quick disco's?
I'd want an adjsutable track bar.
I'd want longer brake lines.
Then you can talk about the possibility of a best lift.

There is a bunch of kits out on the market that dont come with a front adjustable trackbar.
Yes it is great to have but not required.

I have the OME HD and I am looking at the JKS quick discos. I also have and ARB front bumper, plans for 35's in the spring, and a winch in the future. Wtih all of the extra weight, would I need the 0-2" or 2.5"+ length?
I have a 2dr JK that has had the OME HD lift on for about 9 months now and I am also running 33's. I have noticed that whenever I go forward from the parked position that a loud clicking sound occurs, which sounds like metal-to-metal contact. I noticed that the shocks can rotate very easily 360 deg so I tightened those up and it took care of the problem several months ago, but now it's back. Do I just need to keep retightening them as this issue reoccurs? Also whenever I am driving on bumpy pavement I can hear a metal-to-metal rattle, sounds like something is definitely loose, but I have tightened everything to no avail, any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

I ordered my Old Man EMU from Northridge like almost two years ago. But then a whole bunch of stuff hit, but mostly a new baby and never had the time to either install or get new wheels. I wasn't about to install it with stock tires and rims. But for fathers day and the fact that the stock tires were getting worn anyway, I was able to go ahead and get it done. FINALLY!
Now when I ordered it, concensus was then that you didn't need new track bars or any of that jazz. Northridge didn't have a package available with it all. Also I was suggested to get the HD springs, even though I will rarely go off the beaten path with it. I was going to go ahead and follow the write up, but decided instead since I was able to get a deal with Rimz One for the tires, rims, and install all together (including alignment etc). Still, I printed out the instructions and I guess they used it for reference.
After the install, the alignment is as good as it can get, but it was done via computer and it's off by slight degrees. A rear track bar drop bracket should be all I need to fix it. I drove it a couple hundred miles this weekend after the install to SC all highway and no huge wobbles, but I could feel a slight pull when I started to make a lane shift. Nothing serious.
Maybe it's because I have the HD shocks, but while the ride is a little more smooth, it's still rough. Like you still get that jarring sensation going over railroad tracks. I don't know, the installer said the vehicle will both drop slightly (not much) and get softer as the springs compress, they are just too new.
Here's the pictures. It's way to hot and sunny for my to get a good shot right now...

I have a 2 dr with a Teraflex 2.5" coils on 35's. Once I installed the Rock Hard rear bumper, I am not happy with the sagging rear springs. The rock hard rear bumper is extremely heavy. Will the OME HD springs help eliminate the sagging?
