When I did my wheels I didn't do it heavy enough. Took me 45 minutes to get it off my spare. Decided there had to be a better way and came across someone that used WD-40 and a pressure washer.

Let the WD-40 sit for a minute or two then just blast it off. Works great!
It is actually very easy to remove thin spots and over spray. Use gasoline on a rag. It will come right off. Then just redo area.

How pliable is the plasti dip? Could you put it on something soft like a tire cover or would it just crack?

I've done the plastidip thing to wheels before. I used the quarter trick to keep the lug nut contact faces clean. It held up well. As people have mentioned before, make sure you get it on thick. This helps keep it from peeling/bubbling and will make it easier to take off on your terms when it comes time. Thick plastidip peels off in a single sheet. Thin plastidip gets all crumbly and you have to do a lot of rubbing.

I say with. How'd you apply it so cleanly on the interior? Did you use the spray or actual dip?

WD-40 reacts with it and melts it away, you simply just wipe it off...super easy!

Old thread, I know. But, I just did my grill to see if I liked it black. Love it! Now, I have to decided whether to leave it be until it peels or, just peel it and make it permanent. Either way, it will stay this way til spring.
