That is good, the thin top really seems to act like a drum at high speeds. I am going to do this to my top soon. I live in AZ so I have to find a glue that can take the heat when I glue the insulation to the top. Your finished installation looks almost factory to me.

I didn't like hammered silver paint showing on the sides of the top so i painted the rest of the top hammered black . It turned out really good cant see the silver any more straight on.

I run the soft top most of the year and that is my solution.

 

That is very professional and looks great

I used velcro and black with shiny sided rug insulation, really quiets things down and drops temps 10/15 %

There's a lot of different materials to do it with, but because of noise/temp reduction, it's really worth it !!

 

As an alternative for roof paint Google "Kool Seal". It is a paint designed for roofs to reflect sunlight/heat and is used widely in RV's.

I got the black velcro'd fitted sections from "offroad heroes" and put "the insulator" Thermal-acustic insulation, from JC Whitney on the top (inside) and the sides around the windows

I used cardboard for the templates and Commercial "spray" adhesive for the stickum

You don't have to be exact, just as close as you can without bulges

The stuff is indepensible on the highway at 70 mpg, with cars all around, you can use your cell phone and HEAR easily

I'm sorry I'd take more pics, but my jeep is in Nevada and I won't be going back till 7-15-09 thru the end of the month
