I need to do this mod before EJS. just need to figure out a spot to put the switches.
I have the Rugged Ridge A pillar switch pod, that holds 4 switches. I have my 2 sets of lights on the bottom 2, and my 2 lockers on the top 2. No, they're not the safety switches with the flip up protective cover, just the regular rocker switches, but I'm the only one driving it, so I'm not that worried about them getting turned on at 70 MPH on the interstate, or anything like that. I did this mod Friday, and wheeled the heck out of it Saturday, never even touched the factory locker switch, just used the new ones. I used the front only a couple times too. It's an awesome mod to do.
Great write up, I think this is a great fix for Jeep letting us down with not have the lockers available in hi or low.
They did it that way because a lot of people don't understand a locked axle can be deadly on the road.
The sway bar automatically reconnects at 18 mph for the same reason.
