I'm not sure that's true. I thought the fan went on when you go into 4-Low, as well. I may be mistaken.

In any event, nice work. I believe that shroud that snowbdr88 shows is a factory piece meant for the diesel version of the JK. I assume there's no problem with restricting air flow with either approach.

AHHHHH Put a switch on the fan anyway, Cause when you're splashing around in the water, a healthy splash or a submerged fan will stall the fan motor. I don't know how long the fan can be stalled for before it becomes toast.

The fan will be toast whether it's running or not. Electric motors and water ain't the best of friends.

YOU GUYS are having trouble with spray??? These pics are what my Jeep LOVES...Ha...y'all must be hitting some hard-core water, I would just get a snorkel if it's that bad.

I think I may and try this out as my homemade CAI would definitely benefit from less exposure to water.
