Stock Infinity Amplifier Amp Install
I've got a new twist. Currently I'm running an after market HU with the stock speakers. I've had to disconnect my Sub. I was thinking that I'd just buy a new amp for the sub, but this thread has me thinking (not usually a good idea). Is there any way to have the factory Infinity amp power the sub?

Thanks for checking into my thread. I think an aftermarket subwoofer and amplifier is in order. The box is definately stout enough. The amount of sound you get from the stock subwoofer is weak. I am very happy with my JL Audio setup. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31200 Check it out. Its actually pretty cheap and sounds awesome!

Absolutely, you would need to use the wiring diagram on the main page of my other post in the write up section, https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31200 Wire it so that the rear of your new HU is going to the amp as the original was using the stock wiring. Then all your speakers are ran the same using the stock wirning harness from the amp.
If you bought the amp after you bought the Jeep then you have some work cut out for you. Seeing as how you are a pioneer of Jeep parts, you probably could do it. You will need to obtain the factory harnesses.

Maybe you already answered this but I have to ask anyway. How hard would it be to add the Infinity amp, speakers and sub to a non Infinity Hu. Any help would be great. Looking to get some more sound out of the Jeep.

I didn't buy the amp, it came with my JK. This should be a breeze.
Thanks for the info. Great couple of threads here.

Pretty difficult, due to the wrining harnesses not being in the non-infinity Jeep. If you could find one it would just be too cost prohibitive to really be worth it. I think the best thing to do it upgrade using aftermarket amps and HU. You will have much better sound and it will be easier to obtain the entire setup. Stock is just too much work without sourcing a complete wire harness.

It seems these days that Mopar is sourcing all things for the Jeeps these days. If you could get a part number you might be able to order it from a dealer. You can order wiring harnesses for the axle lockers, sway bar disconnects, etc... why not be able to order the stock harness. In a few more years you could find one in a junk yard after more are wrecked. Good luck!
