Agree, but then you have to take the mirror on and off the A pillar every time you take the doors on and off. (at least in my state, there is a requirement for one side view mirror). My doors come off every Friday afternoon and go back Sunday night, weather permitting.
So for me, it's a one time switch, with the ability to reverse.

I tore off my driver side mirror and the replacement cost is actually not high, it's the labor charge that would be big

I know enough to figure it out, but having this cheat sheet will save me time

My wires had to be cut as I was in the middle of a day long trail ride

Hopefully I can get the connector from the mirror and swap it for the butchered wires
