Awesome write up! Thanks a lot man. Just used today!

I have a problem though. Maybe I used a wrong a bolt, but the bolt for the top of the link and the sway bar is too long and won't let me put the sway bar up far enough to put it in the "park position when I'm disco'd. Any ideas on what I can do to fix it beside cutting down the bolt?

Default Fyi!

FYI! found out there is a certian way to install the links. I was having an uber hard time getting the disconnect in the up / storage position untill i turned the link around. If anyone is or has had the same problem. If you noti e the links are bent a certian way at the welds.

Default Bad day

Had the bolt come off on the top of my Swaybar link. It ended up bending the bracket on my axle and chewed my tire a little bit.

Called TF and they said get with High Country 4x4 as their nearest dealer and that they would get it worked out with them eventho i purchased the leveling kit and links from Northridge 4x4 i'll probably pick up some all metal lock nuts and HD lock tight i dont blame TF for a flaw in the locknut they didnt make it and it happens....

Update on TF link issue fix and replaced.... no problem.... funny thing is the link and disconnect itself was fine... only bent the bracket on the axle. goes to show TF makes a GOOD products links were not bent at all.

I installed mine with no trouble....but I agree if you have the swaybar link the wrong way you will not be able to secure it in the upright (disconnected) position....you just have to flip it around and you are good to go.

Nice product easy to install and easy to use. When I ordered it originally they didnt send me the brackets to secure it up...so I just zipped tied them up and wheeled for 2 days straight with no trouble.....the brackets will make it much nicer!

Default Nice Write Up

Thanks for the detailed write up. I was happy to find that there was a hardware kit that converted the sway bar links from the leveling kit into disco's.

I have a 2010 Sahara, and not sure if that makes a difference, but I did run into a small issue that I did not see in this thread.

The old nut/washer that you use to hold the new brackets for disco, were too large, washer that is, in diameter for the bracket. It created an offest that made the bracket turn in and up as torque was applied. To resolve I had to grind one side of the washer down flat a little to remove the offset.

I also had to shorten the stock bolts when I moved them up to the top of the link. Without doing this, the swaybar would not make it past the drivers side when moving it up for storage.

Great write up. Now I just need the weather to break so I can test it out.
