Anyone know of any decent jobs in the area? I'm hoping to start the police academy in June but still waiting on my back ground check to come back and some other exams to be scheduled. I'm needing something at least to start as soon as possible and that i can have incase the PD doesn't work out. Just throwing it out there if anyone knows of anything. I'm open to doing whatever really, as long as it pays, don't care about the hours (would prefer 8+)

I'm really considering getting rid of my Jeep soon and possibly getting and FJ... I know I know.... But i am really getting tired of all of the issues I've been having here lately. My stability light comes on if i go over the smallest bump in the road at any speed (it's calmed down a little since i've but the lift and spacers on), my soft top leaks like crazy (worse after taking it to Star dodge but i don't have the time to leave it there all day again), and now on the way into work this morning my driver side speakers are for some reason no where near as loud as the passenger (all settings are how they should be but for some reason there is a very noticable difference). Also the other day i pulled into Star to look at a Grand Cherokee for my wife, when i went to leave my Jeep wouldn't start, I'd turn the key and got nothing, the lights came on but that's it. It lasted a couple minutes, I'd turn the key and it wouldn't click like a dead battery it just did nothing. I tried it probably 6 times then finally it started, it's never done that before and hasn't since but I really shouldn't be having this many problems with a 2011 that has less than 12000 miles on it. I'm about fed the F up!!

and I hate when people say "it's a Jeep, it's supposed to have some problems", when i pay close to $30 it shouldn't have problems like this.

The light is easily fixed with AEV procal. You have to reset the steering center position. The computer thinks the wheel is turned and you are about to slide out of control. So the bumps make it thing its out of control. The rest I don't have any clue how to fix.

Since I've put on my wheel spacers the light hasn't came back on. I just have an issue with the fact that i have to spend more money in order to fix things that should be done from the factory. I mean i love my Jeep it has been a lot of fun, just all the issues that are starting to pile up are just begining to piss me off.

I know what it feels like to get discouraged with it, but very vehicle you modify will come a certain set of problems resulting from your particular upgrades... My jeep is lifted 4" and it really does pay to have an actual offroad shop in Dallas do a 4 wheel alignment.

I have the upper and lower adjustable arms for the front and rear and it drives and tracks straight down the road...

I got to the discouraging point of havin to figure out where to come up with all the money to regear, locker(s), and doing a tuner for the lack of power... It sucks thinking about the money but I got compliments multiple times everyday and was excited for when I actually do get to take it to an event or just go camping...

However, I'm PCSing to the UK and just sold the Jeep... It will be leaving Abilene this Saturday!

It's a sigh of relief, but kinda depressing to see it go since doing all the work to it myself...

Oh well.

I completely understand what you mean, the only thing is all of the stuff I am having issues with are things I haven't touched, they are all completely stock, adding the lift and wheel spacers has actually seemed to help with the stability issue. I understand that modifying is going to cause issues and require spending more money to fix other things, i've owned many modified vehicles so i know all about that. It's just been a very frustrating couple of weeks and these things are just adding to my frustration lol.

By any chance do you know if the person you sold your Jeep to changed out the wheels? I saw one that looked just like yours the other day but it had black wheels on it.

Gotcha, sorry that you're having to let her go and good luck over there in the UK. Where are you going to try to go when it's time to leave there?

The jeep is gone.... Owner's son needed my suggestion to release the e-brake as he couldn't figure out why the Jeep wouldn't move!

Made it that much harder to see it drive away!
