I am a big fan of BBQ and understand you got some really good BBQ down there. I am looking for some suggestions of places that I must go to while there for authentic Texas BBQ. I am sure everyone has their favorite place, all suggestions are welcome. A friend of a friend who lives down there told me to try Risky's BBQ in the Ft. Worth Stockyards, Sonny Bryan's and Sammy's.

Thanks for your help and suggestions.
Well I'm a few hours south of Dallas and if I wasn't going to be under anesthesia Friday morning would consider making a trip up for BBQ and a ride in the new beast. You showed me a great place "Old Homestead Steakhouse" in Manhattan back in Nov and I'm obliged, wish I could make this trip. Can't believe they'll be done this weekend ...Congrats

Hey Sas, hope what ever it is you are going under for goes well. Sorry you won't be able to meet up for BBQ. Maybe next time.

All the money you have spent with Screamin Lizard Customs, Jerry oughta pay for your BBQ Dinner!

I guess you won't be here for the following weekend. I would invite on a run our local group is doing and you could test it out on some rocks before driving it back home.

It's off Inwood and Harry Hines in Dallas. The rest are very similar to Dickies BBQ (chain)

Enjoy your stay, post up pics when you get your ride back...
Amen, the original is the only one worth visiting
Hard 8 is pretty good, the original in Stephenville is better, but as the pits season in it should run close

As, for going out for BBQ I am up for any place. World champ ribs sounds great. I am going to be staying at the Westin near the airport. Will be in DFW early on Sat.
BS That is not the way we Texans operate and this ain't NYC. Your talking about some serious $$$ taking a cab. I have other vehicles to pick you up and take you around to the Westin, SLC, and to eat. No is not an option. In case your worried that i'm some kind of flake check with Gerry, he knows me as Hemified JK or Randy. SLC did and continues to do all mods to my rig. Really man, this is the way to do it. It's only five minutes from my house to DFW. Just PM your airline and flight # and I'll meet you at baggage claim with a bright red Screamin Lizard Customs t-shirt on and probably a black SLC ball cap.

Well, I guess it is settled then. I learned from Sasquatch not to argue with people from TX. See you on saturday morning. Will send you my flight info in a PM. Thank you for helping me out. It is greatly appreciated.

My vote is for Bone Daddys in Grapevine. The food is great and the girls are cute too!
