Yes, the pox are gone. After 8 days......sheesh. Nothing like being trapped in your house in Crosby for 8 days....LOL....Now I know why people jump off of bridges.....

I can't wait to go either...its been almost a year since I've been to CC. And its been over 2 weeks since I've been to the beach house. I need sand under my tires......will go this weekend...nothing better than the beach and raw oysters......

What time should we be there for dinner?? Should I bring anything? Just kidding, sounds like a great time. Hopefully the weather will be better than what it is right now!

Just checked the long range forecast for CC weather on Saturday.

Should be partly cloudy with a high of 72.

I will check today to see if the burn ban is still in effect for PINS.

If so, that puts the kibosh on any campfires. Although, we still might be able to have one in the Motel 6 parking lot.............

Howdy all! I`m heading down with Rene10`s bunch. Just wondering though, what is the plan? Are you guys going all the way & back? Are you planning on stopping about half way and setting up a camp/cookout? It`s getting close, and I would like to know if I need to bring anything as far as potluck, drinks etc. All I know is we`re meeting you guys at the sign. Info would be greatly appreciated!!

Adam
p.s. - pm me for my cell # if anyone wants it,thanks!

Never really went down with a plan.......

I would like to go down maybe 20 or 30 miles, or, If I find a spot closer or if I find a place that looks good for shelling, I might pull over there......gonna have an ice chest for sure....something to eat for a beach picnic.....

Just general exploring, ride a little, walk a little, ride a little, ...depends some on what the tide is doing.....not real structured...just playing it by ear and see what happens......

Basically just getting the HELL out of Houston......

I`m gonna bring the ice chest of course, but I`m also bringing a propane stove for hot dogs and such. Also bringing an awning so that if we all decide to stop long enough to have lunch, we can keep covered if it`s raining or if it`s too sunny (wifie can`t take the sun). Every expedition needs a base camp . And everyones welcome under my shade !

No kids coming with me after all, but I will be bringing a friend and my dog, she's a rat terrier(my dog, not my friend) . I love the Motel 6 chain for that - "pet friendly"!

Skoalman, any word on the burn ban...a bonfire would be awesome.

Thanks for the base camp-what a great idea.

I have 4 walkie-talkies I am bringing for anyone who wants to use one(in case cell phones get "no signal" in spots.

All I know is I am "jazzed" about the get together. I told my friend what my plans were for this weekend, and she said, "So, it's like a little jeep play group!" I thought for a moment, smiled, and said yeah. That's exactly what it is.

Can't wait to meet all of you.
