Beautiful, hot day. Had to pull off the front panels and enjoy some sun.

I'll be paying a lot more attention to the thread. I have my lift waiting to be installed and tires and drive shaft on the way. No lockers as I'm stock sport right now. But got the limited slip rear end. Anyways I live about 15 min from Crosby so I'm down for the beach or whatever I conquer unroll I get lockers lol.

I can't speak to muddin' since I've never been but as for rock crawlin', it's amazing what these machines can do in their stock configuration. I went to the Jeep Jamboree - Texas Spur a couple weekends ago as my first time ever off roading. Went with my 2011 JKU Sport - stock 32" street tires, no lift, no lockers. Just rock sliders and sway bars disconnected. You better believe the sliders were used, I was in the Yellow/Beginner group, and I opted out of one obstacle as lockers were "very highly recommended" (especially with the longer wheel base). But man, these machines are amazing at what they can do.

All I'm saying is that I don't think you have to wait to install a lift or big tires to stretch a JK's muscles. Now that said, I too have a 2.5" spacer lift in the garage and Rubicon shocks and struts that I picked up and can't wait to install.

Photos of my JK flexing it's muscle a little and me trying to hold on are on a Facebook album here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...9889766&type=3
(not sure if posting that link is legal so hopefully I don't get in trouble for doing so)

Good to know. I figured they were still capable w/o the lockers just haven't had time to test it out. I've only owned the jeep 3 weeks and have been working a turnaround the entire time. But now I'm done and lift is waiting to be installed. Let the fun begin. Also probably gonna grab me a pair of shrockworks sliders, u know so the fiancé will have a step to help her in the jeep, not for rocks of course lol.

i do agree with this, even though mine is a rubicon. first time i went offroad in my used 08 i was really surprised at how well it did with some very very poor tires. after i put on some 35'' duratracs the thing is a freaking beast... i havnt ran across anything that can stop it, yet.
