Default Mid-West Winter Meetup - December 8th @ Disney, OK

RescueX and I were trying to figure out a time to go wheeling, and I'd really like to organize something where several of us can get together and finally meet and have some fun.

I'm trying to plan this out ahead of time well in advance so we can get a nice group. Right now we're looking at the weekend of December 8-9th.

Probably going to meet in Disney or possibly somewhere in southwestern Missouri depending on availability and headcount.

Who's in and that weekend would work? Please vote to let me know - and if the numbers look good I'll try to more formally arrange some things. Otherwise we'll shoot for after Christmas sometime.

Sounds good. I would like to hear more about what you have planned (Lodging/dining or Camping/trail food) I've never been there and don't know what to expect.

I'm in. That looks like a good weekend for my son and me (his high school gives tests on Saturdays, but not this one!).

BTW: I'm a pretty respectable camp cook, just as long as you like it spicy.

That all depends on how many people are coming up..if its a small group we can probably just crash at my place. If its a large group you'll probably have to camp and/or get lodging. Fortunately there is tons of room for camping and lodging that time of year should be easy to obtain.. It's dead up there in the winter as you might imagine...but this is assuming Disney.

I wouldn't mind venturing up to Missouri possibly as well or maybe Kansas. Lets just wait a week or two and see if anyone besides us OKC people chime in.

If SMORR is being considered then I can't make it up there. I have a holiday party I have to be at on Friday night. So, I can't leave until Sat morning...I could leave really early, but I would rather not drive 6 hours.

My vote is Disney...it's close for those that are in southern MO/KS as well.

Yeah, wanna come down to Disney for some wheeling armycop?

I was thinking more Kansas Rock park than SMORR. At this point I'm just wondering who has free time that weekend. We can figure out place in a week.

Where exactly is Disney? I have to see how long of a drive it is. Then I have to find a dogsitter for my souglyheiscute bulldog.
