i already have 4.5" of backspacing, i think. maybe 4.25". ive heard they are sketchy haha. the import guys run them to run more flush fitments on thier cars, but it was a risk running them.

You have 4.5" of backspacing? I guess you've already ditched the factory rims then?

Either way, quality spacers like the ones from Spidertrax are perfectly safe so long as they are properly maintained and cared for. Lots of guys run them.

yeah, i am a wheel guy. i always put on a new set of wheels and tires shortly after what i get. I got 16x8 -11 Pro Comps and 305x70 (33x12.25) BF goodrich MT KM2. i think they are 4.25" BS so yeah, i would have to get some spacers. I will probably get that Rough Country kit and 1/4 inch spacers in december then. hopefully sooner though.

Good choice of rims

You'll be fine then without wheel spacers. Considering how new your Jeep is I just assumed everything (except tires) was stock.

When you do get your kit, you should hit back up this thread. There are a lot of guys on your side of the state, surely someone could lend you a helping hand installing it.

Heck, if you were closer I'd offer myself.

I ran a BB for awhile too. In fact it's on another guys jeep right now and has been for awhile. When you start working on it let's us know I have many tools and space on my garage to do almost anything you could want

X2. If it's easier for you to come out to east MWC, give me a call--I'm in the phone book.

Ya, we're all here to help out.

And with that backspacing, you don't need spacers. I'm running 315/75R16 (35"x12.5") tires on black rocks dunes that only have 5" of backspacing, and have ZERO rubbing issues. I decided on the less backspacing so that the tire wouldn't stick too far out from the fenders....and I liked the wheel. Couldn't be happier!

Oh, and my X has the Rubi e-disco, so ya I was disconnected....kinda gotta be to wheel in tough terrain.

Thanks everyone! i will let you all know when i get it. not sure when exactly it will happen, but it will happen before new years.

I would love a disconnect eventually. have to actually start going off-roading more though. not just in fields. haha

On the disconnects...

Just something worth pointing out, you don't need to buy anything to disconnect your sway bar. My Jeep was a base model as well, and it didn't have an electronic disconnect, and I haven't upgraded to quick disconnects. But, everytime I hit the trail I air down and disconnect my sway bar.

All you need is a pair of wrenchs and some zip ties
