If you pull the flares off (and I've done this while I was working on trimming the fenders), it will look a little unfinished. Here's a picture from when I didn't have the fender on (sorry for the crappy cell phone pic). If you had a bodyshop fill in the holes and remove the brackets, etc., it probably won't be too bad.

You ought to just trim the fenders and leave those on?

With trimmed fenders:

Thanks for the pics Interceptor, I had seen the rear flares pulled and really wanted to see the front. Definately need to bodyfill and coat, I really like the fenderless look.

You're very welcome . I never took the rear fenders off and did the trimming with it on the body, so don't have the rear pics to share. But yes, the front would definitely need some filler and body work to make it look complete. You definitely wouldn't have to worry about any rubbing

Not if you were Jason. Instead it would mean that you have a working Jeep, and a full stock room of parts--no more waiting on the UPS guy!

I haven't look at the OK laws but you might check before running fenderless. I know some states have laws about that i.e. California. So I would hate to travel out of state and have issues. I don't need to give the cops an excuse to pull me over.

JackMac's post.

Pretty much, I'd have to put flaps behind the rear tires.

Well... Apparently UPS is changing their story. They now say that it was NEVER on a truck for delivery, and that it is still sitting in a sealed transportation vessel, not to be opened until at least Monday.

ARGH!!!

Nice. Wonder how that would look. No fenders and mud flaps
