Oh, I should add: Currie track bar and drag link just arrived yesterday. I'll probably order Dana balljoints next month, then rebuild my front end as soon as all of those parts come in. I've had a serious problem with uneven tire wear and am hoping that this will remove whatever is causing it, while beefing it up to prevent future problems. I'll replace the tires after the beginning of the year when I make my annual withdrawal from my IRA and can afford it, and, if I decide to go to 35s, regearing and front axle upgrades. With a D30 up front, what do folks recommend I do? Anyone got a spare D44 axle laying around? LOL.

So I mentioned Moab to my wife, and she surprisingly didn't say no. In fact, she actually sounded like she was interested.

We had previously discussed traveling to Colorado around (give or take a couple of weeks) our anniversary (April 8th). I pitched the idea that instead we should go to Moab. I mentioned there would be Jeeps. She said she wasn't keen on the idea of off-roading (she said she'd get board), but when she read on the Internet that Moab had spas.... well, lets just say she went to the library yesterday while I was at work at checked out a book on traveling in Utah

That would be neat. You could rent her a car and the rest of us could go out wheeling. On second thought, all the places there rent Jeeps. Wait--since she's not off-roading, I seem to recall one place on the north edge of town that rents Hummers!

well, I put this in a tulsa suds n grub thread, but thought I'd mention it here too.

Yesterday I had a lady in a nissa altima help me modify my Jeep. So now, my drivers side rear door sill is dented, rear plastic fender knocked off and cracked, and she was able to help me move my rear axle about 1 1/2 inches off center.

She rammed into me as I was going straing and she was attempting a left turn and she didn't obey the green yield signal for a left turn.

I am completely fine, really not even that sore, not sure of her status, she took an ambulance ride to the hospital and as of 5 last night (happened at 8 am) her insurance co couldn't get in contact with her, so not sure how she's doing.

So, I'm without the Jeep for now since the rear is off, no sure what's there, I had to work all day yesterday and then it's now at a body shop by my office waiting on eval by appraiser.

Hopefully, it will be easily fixed by some new suspension parts, some body work and some new rear tires.

I didn't have doors or top on, and honestly I think this saved me from a head injury. Had I had my doors on and window up, I likely would have hit my head on the drivers door window.

No spare D44s laying around here but I'd recommend sleeve and gusset the front axle and probably get the JKS trackbar reinforcement bracket. Now if you eventually plan on going to D44, I'd just wait to do anything till you get the 44.

Not necessarily going D44. I'm also considering building up the 30 with, as you say, sleeves and gussets, and maybe better axles. Would probably give it to Screamin' Lizard to work their magic.

That sucks your going without your Jeep for a while. Hopefully you get to wiggle in some "better than stock" parts from the ordeal.

Dang. That sucks!! Hopefully you get to upgrade with aftermarket parts. Let us know how things go. Glad you weren't hurt and hopefully she is ok and learns a valuable lesson in yielding.

Same here. I have my eyes on a D44 front that a forum member here might have for sale soon but if not, I'll just build up the D30. Already have gussets and trackbar braces - would just need new axle shafts and sleeves combined with some 5:13s and lockers and I should be good
