OK bs
. But looks like you're almost there On a different note, we traded for a 2008 Wrangler X in Detonator Yellow today - but the thing is seriously in need of some TLC. The previous owners were clueless on how the soft top worked or went on - when they pulled into the dealership, the soft top was not not connected into the seams, the zippers are buggered up from being zipped up wrong, and worst of all, they slammed the tailgate shut with the metal brace of the rear window stuck and bent the tailgate
. It's also missing the side clips that the rear window channel locks into. Soooooooo, the wife's been wanting a JK for a while now, and looks like if I can get it right and it's not going to be overly expensive to do the body work (I'll talk to our body shop to see what can be done), we might have a "His & Hers" pretty soon. Here's a couple of pictures I took this evening. Sorry for the cell phone pics:

Again, I am super sorry.

Hope u r up and running soon.
Did you guys get any further?
Sorry I had to take off, but Leah is starting to get a little upset with me for being gone so much. Next weekend will be the third weekend in a row, but when the chance comes up to go scuba diving in an old lead mine, which made it on the list for top ten dive sites in the world and it is only 4 hours away, you just have to go do it.
I hope you get your jeep going soon! It shouldn't take long now if you can get the u-joint in the passenger side axle shaft. It would be just a matter of buttoning things back up.
Good luck and let me know what I can do if anything.

We are still working on it.
We gave up on the passenger side Chromo... we think we buggered a needle in one of the caps

We just put the stock passenger side back in. We are putting the brakes back together now. I just came in to look up torque specs...
Thanks for helping. No worries about having to leave, my wife would have killed me if I had been gone as long as you guys have been... so I deeply owe you all.
Okay, a little mid-night update for everyone.
As mentioned before, the Chromoly axle for the passenger side was not fully assembled. I think we jacked up the needle barrings in one of the caps, as the cap is not fully seating. It was the last cap too
I am going to see what I can do. I don't know if I need to order an entire replacement u-joint, or what... I am still thinking this one through.
Regardless, I am just going to admit defeat on u-joints and let a professional finish that up.
The stock axle shaft is in the passenger side, and a new Chromoly is on the driver's side.
The differential has new seals, the carrier is installed, and is all buttoned up. It has also been filled with diff fluid.
The driver's and passenger side brakes and rotors are all back together. With one minor exception, there is one bolt we couldn't figure out the torque spec for and that is where we stopped. I posted a thread (https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...he-torque-spec) (please check it out, I hope someone knows) to try and figure out what the spec is.
Once I get that bolted down, I should just be able to put the tires back on and driver her.
This is where I am super scared. So close. I hope everything turns out ok. I just know we were in the diff, and I hate gears.... (Just ask Jerry).
