OK bs

LOL we are coming back down in the spring id like to wheel for real there im sure its awesome. We were just hitting some little spots. I wasnt looking forward to the trip there to tell you the truth but OK turned out to be pretty awesome
They do a lot of controlled fires in the wildlife refuge area to keep the brushfire down and stuff and when that happens, there be quite some smoke in the area - just looks like fog. I believe the signs you saw was from that.
The signs are there for the fires mentioned above, and random field/wild fires that may break out along the highway. Ive been through it once, basically if you see smoke, they just want you to pull over until it clears up so you dont wreck on the highway since your vision will be impaired.

Seems like all the good stuff is closer to Tulsa
. These are the times I wish I lived closer up there.
Sounds good... I can't promise I'll be able to make it since I have to work most Saturdays, but I'll definitely try.

Wichita Mountains is my favorite place in the state. If you ever get back, let me know--I'd love to join you for a hike. Also, don't miss these pages I help maintain with tons of info on the Wichitas ...
