they will net about the same amount of height, but if you install HD bumpers and a winch they will both drop around .5 to .75 inch...might wanna check out OME HD ultra flex coils, rock krawler , full traction, rusty's ...oh and clayton

From comparing my Jeep to Jerry's Jeep....

Jerry is running the TF 2.5" kit... I'm running the 3.25" RC kit...
I sat just a hair taller than Jerry, when I had OE bumpers and Jerry had LoD gear.

After installing my OR-Fab gear, I'd estimate Jerry and I sit at the same height.

Personally I think you'd be happy doing a TF 2.5" coil lift with shocks. Or go with a TF 2.5" bb and upgrade to 2.5" coils and shocks later.
