I still need to reinstall inner fenders and some mini things but overall it's in and running. Test run tomorrow. Before: Attachment 537839 After: Attachment 537840
Great build. Looking forward to the new times

On the clogged injectors. There are places that can ultrasonic clean them for a fraction of replacement. You can also have them matched on a flow bench at the same time. Used to do injectors all the time When I worked for Bavarian Machine Specialties in Houston Texas. Basically it pulses ultra sound waves into the injectors while the machine pulses the injectors like the engine is running. The process does not take long to do throw them in the flow bench to test spray pattern and flow rates.

Here's the latest 0-60 time. I only have a few short miles on the engine and the supercharger so I was a little conservative on my start off the line. That being said, without a doubt the times will improve once I'm willing to just stomp on the gas and hold it there. I'm guessing they will be in the mid-high 6 second range. Here's a summary of what I have so you can compare times:

2007 JKU with 2011 3.8L and y-pipe
2.5" lift 35" tires
Aftermarket heavy-ass front and rear steel bumpers and rear tire carrier
12,000 lbs winch with synthetic line
Hardtop and full doors (only stating that for those looking at performance times and weights)
Gibson headers ceramic coated SS
Cat-back exhaust
AEV Magnuson Supercharger
Stock jeep air intake with supercharger
DiabloSport tuner
ARB engine and tranny skid plate
ARB evap canister skid plate
Dana 44s with elockers and gussets in front axle. 5.13 gears.
Steel windshield light bar (used to hold kayak in summer).

Without pushing it hard, I dropped 3.67 seconds off of the original 0-60 times and got to 60mph in 232 less feet than prior to the engine swap, headers and SC install. The torque feels far more impressive. I have not off-roaded yet but it did climb the 4' pile of snow at the end of my driveway without any problems whatsoever. Felt much stronger than before. In fact I was very tempted to go right over the top and into my back yard. The jeep runs at about 2200 rpm at highway speeds now and there is plenty of passing power. It actually feels like the engine can breath now. If you have ever had asthma, you know what I mean. My jeep can breath now! Click image for larger version

I do plan on cleaning them. The supercharger came with injectors so I will only be cleaning them for resale (Also willing to sell the fuel rail and injectors as is). I have a second set of injectors that came out of my original engine as well that will be sold along with my other parts (or the entire engine and accessories as a package deal).

That's impressive. Does AEV reccomend the header installation? Where'd you get the grill?

No idea if they recommend it. My factory manifolds cracked and I had no desire to have another set crack so I went with headers.

http://www.wildboarproducts.com makes the grille.

Would love to read about any updates now that the Jeep Safari is over and the engine is broken in. Some more photos would be great, too.

The trip was fantastic and minus a couple minor issues, the Jeep performed well. My factory radiator fan died east of Denver so we had a 3 hour delay while we replaced it with an aftermarket fan. The aftermarket fan was not as efficient at cooling as the factory fan so I had ongoing heat issues. The Gibson headers continued to loosen up until I double nutted them. Due to the over heating and/or heat of the headers, I fried the starter solenoid. I had to replace the starter and install heat shielding. Problem solved. Other than that, the jeep was awesome. Here's a video and some pics. I'm no video editor so take it for what it is. http://youtu.be/ubuldrycEcQ Click image for larger version

ID:	548900 I averaged 16.5 MPG over 3,000 miles during the trip and learned that anything above 2500rpm drastically dropped gas mileage. Fortunately 2,500rpm for my jeep is about 73mph and my buddy that went with towing a trailer could not go much faster. My Best tank of gas was just over 18mpg and the worst was 14.3.
