Default 2.5inch spacers

I tried the search but couldnt get it clear. on a 2 door i know its maximum to put a 3inch lift, but then you put extra wear on the driveshaft. i wanted to ask what if i put 2.5inch spacers, will i have trouble with the drive shaft? or will i put too much strain on it?

There are lots of people on here running 2.5" Teraflex BBs with no driveshaft problems.

With normal street use, probably not. If you have an automatic, there's definitely a greater potential for damage off-road, as your front driveshaft can contact your transmission skid plate and cause damage. With a 6-speed it's not an issue.

Most of the rental Jeeps in Moab have logged thousands of problem-free off-road miles with 2.5" BBs and stock driveshafts. Those things get abused more in 5,000 miles than most Jeeps will get abused in their lifetime.

I think you will be fine. Just be aware that you are slightly increasing the risk of driveshaft failure, but it's not something you should worry about.

$264.95 from Northridge4x4 for the Teraflex 2.5" BB with shock adapters. I don't know how much shipping to Kuwait would cost. Send David a PM and see what he can do for you.

I have had a 2.5 BB for over a year and no problems. I wheel fairly hard, but I only have 13000 miles on Jeep. I also have a 1 inch body lift and 35's and I love the look and performance.

Are you lifting mainly to increase ground clearance, or to be able to fit larger tires? Or both?
