Default 2 door rear drive shaft questions.

OK, so whats the scoop with the driveshaft issues for the 2-doors? I have searched but never really got the info I want.

Here are the spec.'s

2008 2 door JK
3" Black Diamond kit
35's
5.13 gears.

I keep hearing horror storries about the stock driveshafts going bad within a few thousand miles after the lift. Is this true?

Your going to want to change it as soon as you can. You can get a bunch of miles out of them and bide your time, but I can't think of too many things worse than your rear drive line failing. At least have one on hand.

You have manual or Auto? I have a manual and I never had a problem or tear in a boot. I eventually replaced it but it was never at too steep of an angle. I also could limp home with out it. Now, I hear Auto's need it replaced just as badly as the rear.

My rear one went out at around 7K miles after lift was on. The front one was fine, but I replaced it anyways.

I read that all the guys with the "complete kits" (complete such as new control arms, trackbars etc) blow out their DS. I have yet to hear anyone running a 3" economy kit blow a DS though.
