20's on 2 dr
OK...I wont hate the 20's. But, the ROCKSTARS ARE UGLY. Not ugly in like a "well not my thing, but I could see how people like it." But, ugly in a "look at me I have a star on my wheels." They just look so gay. I also don't get the fad with having 5-point stars tatooed everywhere on your body, especially biceps. Sorry if you have them, but it looks bad...you don't play for the Cowboys, the stars on a guy fad is weird.
ohh shit... I think I just pissed a little... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHA

HAHAHAHAHAAH HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHA HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHA HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHA HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHA I agree about the tattoos...
Run the wheel/tire package you want man. I have rockstars and get more compliments on them than any other wheel I have ever owned. I'm sure if I had good ole 15 inch cragar soft 8's, prob wouldnt get so many. The point is your JK is an expreession of what YOU want, not everyone else. I personally wished I had went with 20's on mine, and may in the future. The rockstars are the 2nd set of 18's I've had on my JK. As for the rockstar/big wheel haters-thanks for your opinions.
Alot of members on here build their daily drivers to be extreme off-road buggy's because that is what they are in to. Myself, the only off-roading I will do is beach cruising, which I did Sunday, and it did fantastic. Didnt air down so the psi statements dont apply. I have done to my JK what I like, and it serves its purpose well.
Cant wait to see yours when you get it done.

I love love loved the rockstars (without the centercaps) until one day I was at sonic getting my daily vanilla DP and saw the Ford F950 megacab truckosaurus next to me had like 9" lift and 20" rockstars spinning 38" super swampers. Then when I pulled around to leave there was a dodge 6500 with almost exaclty the same setup except it has like 12" lift and traction bars that run from the rear axle all the way to the oil pan.
Every day since then I have noticed that 90% of the Truckzillas here (this is texas, there are tons of them) are all rolling rockstars. I used to want them, but I don't want to look like the cowboy cadillacs here.

yes. yes. i know. i never got so much sh*t about my 20's with no lift till i joined this site but i love them and feel like they fit the look i was going for. low and wide. look at Mopar's Lower Forty for christs sake.
however i have been thinking of putting on new lift/suspension when i get the $$. always a debate.

I am not in the 15-inch Cragar camp (but those are badass.) Personally, I went with a 17-inch black ProComp wheel and Dick Cepek 33-inch Mud Countrys. Here's a pic of my JEEP a year ago (more mods now
)

I think it is a good balance of having a little rim to show, and still being more than capable off-road. Comments? Positive? Negative? Concerns? I have only seen my wheels on another JEEP on this forum...never on the road. I think Rockstars must be big in the South b/c even here in Port Orange, FL I see them EVERY DAY. But, always do what makes you happy. Personally, I wouldn't care how many people had them...if I like it, I'd get it. Being different just for the sake of being different is not my MO. I wouldn't get rockstars b/c they look gay. Anywhoooo, as for the whole "rockin 20's b/c I only drive on the beach." NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT (I know, different strokes for different folks...blah,blah) I am not being mean to anyone for doing what makes them happy....but I have to ask.....WHY? Why does anyone NOT WANT TO WHEEL THEIR JEEP?
I'm not dissing anyone for it, I just want whoever to realize.....YOU ARE MISSING OUT. Build your JEEP to wheel (doesn't have to be crazy, I rock 2.5" on 33's)...it will love you for it and you will get into it.

I think that it is your choice in wheels. You just made the wrong choice in Forums. My other car has 22s. Its also on another forum. I am a little nervous with having chrome on my 16" DC-1's (I was told I could not get them in steel for my application). Off road is just what we do here. But in the end the best thing about jeeps is making them your own. They are like snowflakes.

Just dont understand why fellow jeepers always hate on the guys who dont off-road and/or run 18's on up.
