I'm not telling you how dumb it is to wheel a brand new vehicle, so why question why I use mine? This amazes me. Goes back to everyone bashing someone for the wheels they choose. I could care less if you painted you jeep pink and got your wheels powdercoated yellow. Its yours man. Do what you want.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, not meant that way. Just dont understand why fellow jeepers always hate on the guys who dont off-road and/or run 18's on up.

i spent 18,000 on my JK....because I knew I was gonna beat the ever loving SHIT out of it.....however we spent 30,000 for my wifes 4 door JK and that will be lucky to see even the beach....lol.....so I see what you mean....beat the hell out of the TJ for SURE!

Actually I wasn't...just generalizing about that mentality as when I bought mine I was living ON the beach, and now about 3miles from it. So I started as a beach driver myself. But, OK I'll bite.

Haven't spend nearly 30k personally.

Well you quoted me boss. I didn't say it was a big deal, did I? In fact, I was quite careful to say different strokes for different folks.

Well if you hang out in threads like this one it may.

Actually, I bought mine as a daily driver, that goes on the beach/anywhere I can get it.

Sounds like that questioning you seem pissed about.

Please quote anywhere that I "bashed" anyone, little sensitive?

I also am not being harsh, just being honest. I would have no personal problem with anyone over their automotive tastes, ever. But, all this perceived "hate" and "bashing?" Sounds to me like subconsciously on some level you are bothered by your JKs envious looks at your TJ.

This is just my opinion, but why buy a Rubicon if your not gonna use it as being the most capable off the shelf 4x4 made. You could pu t 20's on it and look good depending on tire/wheel combo. But you coulda done the same thing with an X for 10 grand less if you don't really plan on wheeling it. Hell, you coulda got a 4dr 2wd. ( Uh, you coulda fit more beach bunnies in a 4dr and kept it beach smaculate, haha) Anyhow, just my stupid opinion on a Sat night while the wife is out at a girl only bellydance freakfest openhouse something or nuther. It's your jeep, have fun , whatever you do. Post pics when your done, and we'll either pick on you or be envious.

I can't believe this thread is still going. I like to see what other people are doing but if its not my idea of a jeep, does anyone else care if I don't agree?
