Default 265/75R16 Treadwright Guard Dawg MTs

I wanted to post some pictures because I found it rather difficult to find pics of these particular tires. My JK is a daily driver and I put on a considerable amount of highway miles every week; but those stock pizza cutters had to go! Now I feel like I can do my daily driving and some wheeling. I just had them installed yesterday, so I can't speak for the long-term quality of the tires just yet, but I am very happy with the size and look of these tires. They called me and offered to upgrade the load rating from a C to a D so they could get the tires to me sooner. I will say that there is a noticeable increase in stiffness to the ride, but I am not sure how much softer the C rating would have made the ride; going from those passenger tires to mud tires is quite a change I think if I get some quick disconnects I will have found my happy medium for now. Recommendations on quick disconnects are welcome.

Big difference, huh! I ran those tires in that size for a while, too, and I really liked them. I just up-sized to their new 315's on aftermarket wheels.

I use JKS QD's and recommend them highly.

Welcome to the forum.

The 315s are definitely in the very near future for my JK.

Can't wait to have those on the way. There are a few threads about these tires.

I have a set of TreadWright WARDEN A/T's, 10k miles and they still look new. They are not too bad in mud and snow, the performance is comparable to BFGs. I think you'll like these

Thumbs up

Thanks for the pics! I've been considering this size as well. Looks like I'll be getting these too.

IF you don't mind writing how they feel on road and characteristics, that would be appreciated.

Keep in mind that this is my first 4x4.....I didn't check the tire pressure, but it is definitely a "stiffer" ride. Some of this, I'm sure, is the fact that I switched from the stock tires to mud tires and I think the rest has to do with the fact that they are load range D. I am O.K. with that because I feels like I am driving a Jeep now and not a car I have been off-road a little and towed about 1500lbs thus far and I am very impressed. These tires seem like they are bullet proof. There is a hum with these by the time you reach 40 mph that slowly grows louder by the time you are going 70mph. Even as a newbie I expected that though So, I can say without a doubt that I am very happy with overall performance and look. If we get some snow this year, I will let you know how they perform.

Default update on the Treadwrights

We have gotten hit with snow and ice repeatedly here. These tires have surpassed my expectations hands down. It even seems like the ride has softened a bit now that I have about 2,000 miles on them. I highly recommend these tires!
