Have a bud that ran 35s with 4.10 auto and it was bad. I have 3.73 with manual and 35s and as long as you don't mind using the gear shift, I don't mind at all, it will getty up and go very quickly. Even on up hill on ramps I can easily merge at 70+ mph. I have always had manual trannies in anything I drive that doesn't have a v8 and am very used to ringing every once of power there is out of them, not afraid to take it up near redline to get onto the highway or going up hills when I want it to go quickly. I do run mobil 1 in my engine and it makes good power, have nearly 50K miles on it now and the inside of the exhaust has the same color as the outside of the exhaust pipe, burning very clean indeed.

I have a '10 Unlimited, I have 315's and 3.73 gears. It isn't bad as long as I turn the overdrive off. I haven't reset the speedometer but everything works fine. I just checked the mileage using the miles from my GPS as the odometer is off, it got 16.8 in combined city and highway driving. When i bought my tires I also bought new gears, after driving it for a while I sold the gears. I don't think it is that bad.

35's, 6spd, Superchip and Banks CAI

I've put 54,000 miles on mine in one year. I do a lot of highway and tow a trailer too. It's sluggish on the hills but manageable. 6th gear well it's still new as most of my time is in 5th.
It's tolerable and mileage isn't bad until I tow then I am at about 12mpg.
It's a choice I guess, but it can be enjoyed!
Jeep go where you want when you want!

running a 2dr 6spd with 35's is no problem with the super chips 93 tune. I'm getting 16-18city and 21hwy mpg. It's really not too bad without the super chips you just gotta stay in lower gear longer.

I have a 6 speed, 3.21 gears and 37" km2's.

All I have to say is I didn't buy my jeep so I could go fast.

Living at 7000 ft. above sea level here in Flagstaff.... The A/T 3.73 combo and 35" Toyo M/T (Heavy) are tolerable. However, I remember when I was able to pass semi's going up the grade (Phoenix to Flagstaff) seems like it was a long time ago to be honest. If you find yourself in a hurry to get somewhere in a jeep your doing it all wrong in my personal opinion. Save the money and regear after you wear out your 35"s and you are in a position to go with 37"s. haha

I'm fine with it. There is a lot of other things I put on the list before gears for $1k. like a rear bumper with carrier to handle the spare.
