The instructions have you remove the sensor from the air tube prior to removing the air tube... I saw this as a disaster waiting to happen, and removed the air tube first, THEN removed the sensor. Bottom line: You're going to have FORCE that sensor out of the air tube - it's in there good, and doesn't seem like it was installed with the intent of every coming out (or maybe I should say, not being USED after it comes out).

I was able to get it out OK with some patience and some leverage, after a few careful attempts. I'll be honest: It was frustrating, and if I didn't have a friend there to keep me cool, mine would probably be broken. The key is firm leverage and patience.

If you take the Jeep for a drive first and really warm up the intake tube the sensor will wiggle right out.
