Default 33's or 35's

So. I want 35's but I don't know if they will fit. I have a 07 x with either 2 or 2.5 inches of lift. I have been thinking 33x12.50x17 Cooper discoverer stt. But if I can squeez em, I'd love to rock 35x12.50x17 Toyo mt. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I have a 2.5 BB lift and trying to decide if I want 35's or a 295/70 17 Cooper STT. They both will fit mine with wheel spacers just not sure which one will fit the lift better. From what I have read 2.5 is tight for 35's but works...anything shorter should go 33's... you can go with flat fenders and the 35's with a 2" lift.

Thank you for the fast reply. I have the stock 32's and it looks like there is soo much room to go bigger. But I don't know for sure. The flat fenders would look stupid with the arb full width bumper tho...

if you're even thinking about going 35's, i would just do it - i guarantee you that you will regret it if you don't. if needed, you can always install a 1" body lift to help make up the difference in clearance.

But then the cons in my head of 35's are...$100 more per tire. Extra lift possible. Re gear most likely. Rubbing possible. Soo...I don't know. But I really want 35's. She is my daily driver though and she only sees trails probably once a month. Thoughts?

yes, the tires will cost a bit more, the extra body lift is cheap and can be had for about $150 and regearing may be desireable but not necessary. just listen to yourself, "i really want 35's" - i can assure you that this will turn into, "i should have gotten 35's" if you don't get them.

If you're not worried about fuel economy, go with 35's.

They fit the wheel wells nicely

And I have always wanted Toyo mt's ever since I started driving. There beast! I will go to my local tire shop and ask them what they could so for me lift wise and cost. I will need to put on a steering stabilizer too then probably so I don't get epic death wobbles

I'm already getting 11.5 mpg with stock everything. And a two inch lift. So I can't go too much worse

You won't need a new steering stabilizer if everything is tightened correctly. All the SS does is mask the wobble so you don't feel it. Its still happening under your jeep though. Read Planman's thread on this first before you buy anything:

Oh...and go 35's. You'll wish you had if you don't. (Trust me...that's where I am now. )
