Here's a picture of my jeep with 35s and a 2.5 terraflex coil lift. No rubbing whatsoever.

We do not do hard core off road any more. Mostly gravel roads and some steep grades. An occasional trip to the desert.

Do we need 33" or 35" tires?

My wife has MS and has a hard time getting in the jeep now.

I first ran the Rubicon in 1969 and still have that jeep also.

Thanks for the help.

Just wanted to say, I love the cardboard cut out of John Wayne in your garage!

In your case, if there are already problems for your wife getting into your Jeep, you don't actually *need* anything bigger than the stock tires. The JK is a very capable vehicle straight out of the box, and many people have run the 31-32" tires (depending on your model) on some serious stuff. If you're looking for a new set of tires, there are plenty of people on here who are selling their Rubicon 32" take-offs, and usually for a very good deal. Good luck!

I'm on the fence w/ 33s or 35s, but just towed my 2 ATV trailer for the first time and that made up my decision against 35s. I know I wont regear, so I think I will go w/ 33s.

Think about what is going to suit YOU best.
I am running 33's on the TF 2.5 bb. I have fun and still keep up with most of the guys I go wheeling with. Not to say I will not end up with 35's in the future, but remember everything has the trickle down effect.
Regearing, doing lockers while you're regearing, aftermarket tire carriers, gussets, and sleeves all seem to be preferred additions for a lot guys on here who are going with 35's or bigger. All of those could easily add up to $3K+ not counting tires. If $$$ is no object for you than go for it. But if not, those are the extras to consider that may need to be addressed later.
Good luck!

I went with 33s because I pull a 2500 lb boat at times over the summer and didn't want o spend the $$ to regear. If not for the boat I would have definitely gone for 35s.
