Theres tons of people that run 35's on the stock tire carrier. They just don't make posts about how the tailgate is fine...

I had a 35" tire on my stock carrier for 98k miles and I never had a problem with it vibrating, bending, warping the tailgate.

I have the 285/70 r17 which is clise to 33, factory wheels, i like the look, i know gas mileage isn’t a factor, but mine is a daily driver and i get 20 on the highway, have thought about going bigger, but they do everything i need
