Default 33s or 35s on a 2-Door?

I know this question has been asked SEVERAL times and there seems to be a specific thread for each (33s, 35s, etc).

I really can't get a good feel to what size tires I want to put on my Sahara. I'd love 35s, but they look a bit goofy on a 2-door style Wrangler.

I plan on going with an aggressive, wider stance. I'm more concerned with making my Sahara look wider/beefier, not necessarily taller. Additionally, after researching the Blacked Out thread, I definitely intend to go that route.

As a result, I plan on going with the following:

18 x 9 XD775 Rockstar Rims
33 x 12.50 x R18 Nitto Mud Grapplers

I know the Rockstar Rims are a highly-debated topic....and the Mud Grapplers seem to be a fan-favorite of this forum

Thoughts? Could I get away with 35s on a 2-door? It just looks goofy to me. Will 33s give me the aggressive, beefier stance that I'm looking for?

Need all the advice/suggestions I can get....

Echo,

Do you find the 33s significantly enough different from 32" stock? It looks pretty sweet with just those on.

What inch lift? I'm thinking 2" for me.

Also, that light bar is sweet!!

I think 35s with a small lift look better than 33s, but the added lift and size will decrease power and gas milage some. Sounds like 33s will do what you want.

My opinion, 35's on a 2door and 37's on a 4door.

But, you don't like the look of 35's on a 2door, so why even consider it??? Get 33's and enough backspace on the new rims to give you the wider stance you are looking for.

on the stock moabs. I was going for the beefier look without going too tall also. heres my wifes stock unlimited next to mine
Don't forget with the 35's you will probably want to regear so thats an added cost to take into account

my previous jk with the same setup
yea i know and regearing is a hassle sometimes in itself i like they way yours looks does it flex well on the trails i really mean do you rub any at full flex
