Default 33's or 35's

Hey y'all.....I need some advice. I'm either buying 33''s or 35''s to go with a 2.5-3 inch lift kit, does anyone have any input on what size i should go to, the thing im in most is straight mud and swampland, since im down in florida and i dont want to lose too much power. So what would yall suggest?

I know there will be many conflicting opinions, but I went with 33"s and a 2.5" TF BB and love it! It set the jeep at the perfect height, plenty of clearance for offroading, & when I have to replace the tires it won't mean i have to take a loan out. Also, not too much power was lost and it still handles rather well...well for a Jeep that is.

Dlud is really onto something there... I have 33's on my unlimited, that being said though, if you don't mind a possible regear and are even thinking about what tire size to get...I'd say get the 35's. 'cause if yer like 95% of the forum members here that were asking the same question, as soon as you get the 33's on you'll wished you had gotten 35's. I say 95% 'cause some didn't.

I'm part of that 95% that, although really like my 33's, wish I had gotten 35's.

Hopefully it helps and not confuse you even further... I'm not sure where you're from but you won't have to take out a loan for 35's. Just wait for Pro Comp to have thier annual 4 for 3 sale... buy 3 get the fourth free. I'm not sure I'm gonna get them installed right away, but I am sure I'm gonna buy my 35's next month!

If you do not want to loose power, and do not want to regear than go with 33s. I am guessing you have 3.73s and from the consensus I have seen on here the power loss with 35s and those gears is miserable

I went back and forth myself and decided on 33s. There are a lot of threads on this exact question.

Also, for replacing tires, the cost is significantly affected by the wheel size. Depending on the brand of tire, the cost to replace a 35" on 15" wheels isn't far off from 33" on 17" wheels. Everybody has there preference though.

Go with the 33's. I did and I am part of that 5% that loves them. I have plenty of clearance and plenty of power.

Now if I can just get the silly ESP to stop triggering I would be in a perfect world!!

Hey Big Mickey...

Does yer ESP trigger kinda @ random? Or when yer doing "silly" stuff. I heard from someone on here that the dealer can Semi-permenantly disable that. But you gotta take it back to have it re-enabled.

I got 33"s and a month later wanted 35's and after the 35"s I am sure I will want 37"s. It is a viscous cycle

WOL posted a write-up about centering stearing after a BB lift. He said if you don't do that is can trigger the ESP.

If you already did that, I got nothing....

I put 33" KM2s on last night. I love it and won't consider 35s until I wear these out. Don't get me wonrg, the 35s do look nice; so do the 37s (see my point?).

2.5 BB and 33s were the way to fly for me and I have no regrets so far (14 hours).
